In our redesign we hoped to simplify the look our design. Gone are shades, thick rules and colored info boxes. While they excited the layout, all the glitz was a bit much in print. Elements on the front have been borrowed from some of the pros and modified for our student paper. We ditched all the school colors in favor of a simple yet eye-catching maroon. We've received good feedback from readers who appreciate the simplified look. - Adam Crisp
