The old version of The Herald was simply that: old. Text, picture, text, picture, dull, gray, bleh. Nothing too horrible, just bland. But with our new design, we tossed out Times for the body text and replaced it with Warnock Pro. We also tossed out Times for Headlines and replaced it with Myriad Pro, and are keeping fonts more consistent. We changed the masthead, and made sure that the Red would be in every issue, bw or color. We added a sidebar, and have made it our goal to give every story on the front page some sort of graphic, be it a picture (everyone loves pics), pull quote, chart, poll, etc. The most noticeable difference inside is that we've given jumps subheads, and have changed the inside mastheads as well. - Dustin Faber
